ProAm Sports is a World Class International Tournament Hosting Site and Service Provider
ProAm Sports is a Live on Location athletics membership for regional, national, and international athletics tournaments supported by an online community.
Our members enjoy lasting connections through our sports tournaments and games. After all, these are team sports and the development of team play encourages long-lasting relationships. We are more than just a social media site for online sports play. We are a community where individuals can grow and connect.
Our online sports community is rich with family members who are looking for a way to connect and encourage their children to pursue athletics. By creating a safe space for athletes, we believe our platform better serves team play in any age group.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for unsportsmanlike conduct. Our fair play policy and anti-hate speech facilitates stronger membership communication, and on the field play. Any use of hate speech will generate automatic expulsion from our site. During a sports match, our unsportsmanlike conduct policy generates a yellow card if said conduct is recorded from a player. If the same player receives another yellow card, they receive a red card and are removed from the game and our website. The player will then be banned for a minimum of one year. They can appeal the ban, but peer review of the infraction is required to determine whether the player is worthy of reentry into the ProAm Sports website. However, should the player be allowed to resume play and receive another red card, they will be permanently banned from our site.

As a ProAm Sports partner, you work for yourself as an independent contractor. Because of this, you’ll receive a 1099 form each year instead of the W-2 you may have been used to getting.
Unlike a traditional full-time or part-time job, ProAm Sports does not withhold taxes from your earnings. That’s why the government requires you to pay income tax and self-employment taxevery year.
There are benefits to being an independent contractor, although the way you file taxes is different. One advantage is that you may be able to deduct expenses from your earnings and only pay taxes on what’s left. If you keep track of things like your mileage and vehicle costs, travel expenses, this could add up to huge savings.
Every ProAm Sports partner receives a monthly tax statement. And if you earn $600 or more during the year, you’ll also receive a 1099 tax form by January 31.
The 1099 form includes how much you made, what fees ProAm Sports took out, and how many games you officiated while on the app. Always wait until you receive your 1099 before filing your taxes.
Don’t forget deductions
Speak with a tax advisor to see which business costs you can claim full or partial deductions for:
Vehicle costs like depreciation, vehicle rentals, lease payments, gas, tune-ups, registration, car washes, new tires, etc.
Mileage
Car insurance
Tolls or parking costs
Your phone and phone plan
Meal expenses, and travel accommodations
ProAm Sports fees
Accounting and bank costs
Games of skill performance income is almost always taxable income. This includes cash and the fair market value of any item you earn/win. By law, winners must report all of their winnings on their federal income tax returns. If the prize is $600 or less; ProAm Sports members are not subject to taxable withholdings, which for security reasons. will be deposited into that members profile wallet, however,. If you prefer, you can opt to handle earnings through ProAm Sports customer service center, or claim your prize through the mail. We'll gladly issue you a check or a Visa debit card for your winnings. The only difference is that you'll need to provide a valid government-issued photo ID and your social security number if the prize amount is greater than $100.
Depending on the amount of your earnings, you may receive one or more Forms W-2G, which reports the amount of your winnings, as well as the amount of tax that was withheld, if any. You will need these forms to prepare your tax return. Remember that, even if you do not get a W-2G, you must report all gambling winnings.
Your earnings/winnings are generally subject to a flat 25% tax. However, for the following sources listed below, winnings over $5,000 are subject to income tax withholding: If you win a non-cash prize, such as a car or a trip, you will be responsible for paying taxes on the fair market value of each prize earnings Depending upon the amount of your earnings/winnings, the establishment or payer may be required to withhold income taxes. In general, 25% of the amount is required to be withheld. In some cases, a backup withholding of 28% is required instead. If tax is withheld from your gambling winnings, you will be sent a Form W2-G from the payer.
For prizes of $600 or more, Documented proof of Social Security number is required for earnings over $600. ProAm Sports requires a player’s social security or tax identification number for tax withholding and reporting purposes, pursuant to 42 USC 405(c)(2)(C)(i), 26 USC 3402(q), 26 USC 6041, 26 C.F.R. 31.3042(q)-1(e) and the regulations enacted thereunder.
